(Middlebourne, WV) – The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts is heating up just in time for perfect summer temps to soar up with it. With a chamber of commerce forecast (Clear with 70’s & 80’s at evening) set for this weekend the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV will hope to open it’s gates for the first time in the month of May with it’s annual “Jackpot 100” weekend. The tracks biggest event of the season is on the docket featuring the World Of Outlaw Late Model Series racing two complete shows. For the Renegades of Dirt modified pilots they will be gunning for the granddaddy of one day purses, a fifty five lap, $5,555 to win complete one day show on Sunday night.

The speedway will once again host the Modified “MEGA 100” in July but perhaps there is none all year as lucrative as this weekends “Let It Ride 55” in terms of title & stature. The fifth annual Memorial Day Weekend tradition will once again allow one racer the opportunity to showcase a rare “slot machine trophy” as their winning prize on top of the prestigious purse. A new twist this season the winner will also have the chance to ‘spin the machine’, if the machine hits BARS or 7’s to light up slot they will win an additional $155 courtesy of 2Brothers Motorsports.

An event established in 2012 as part of inaugural Renegade of Dirt Tour season featuring an outstanding $5,000 to win purse that saw 50 entries battle at the “Bullring” before Zanesville, OH’s Rick Aukland claimed the prestigious inaugural win. In 2013 the tour returned to the Tyler County Speedway but up’d the ante which saw a then tour record 60 entries. When the checkered waved on the event it was Mooresville, NC’s Nick Hoffman who would take the largest win of his successful early career. In 2014 Tyler Nicely shocked the modified world with his biggest career win. Nicely a native of Owensboro, KY made the events third different winner. In 2015 Tanner Wilson of Zanesville, OH pulled off an “upset” to some winning his biggest career victory at the 4th Annual “Let It Ride 55”.

Although the modifieds make plenty of noise during Memorial Day weekend the World Of Outlaw Late Model Series will also be in town. The WoO & it’s high profile cast (Richards, Shirley, Overton, Clanton, Eckert, & others) will welcome the ‘Bullring’ as their weekend headquarters for two days of complete on track activities. On Saturday night the World of Outlaws will battle 40 laps for $8,000 to win and Sunday night the Late Models will run 60 laps for $10,000 to win. The pair of WoO events will be the only nationally based Late Model touring events at the speedway and in the state of West Virginia in 2016. Home-state racer Josh Richards sweep both nights of action in 2015.
